Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonatha Tah.
The Reds were linked with a host of centre-backs during the summer transfer window but opted against bringing in a new player in the position.
According to Sport Bild, Liverpool are among a host of Premier League clubs interested in signing Tah in the coming months. The Reds are joined by Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur in considering a move for the Germany international.
Tah’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and the defender was heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich during the summer. From January, Tah will be able to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with clubs outside Germany should he wish to do so, which could present an opportunity to Liverpool.
Elsewhere, Liverpool are reportedly one of the clubs that could sign Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman. According to Bundesliga reporter Christian Falk, via Caught Offside, Coman would be “prepared” to move to the Premier League if the opportunity came up.
The report claims that Liverpool, Man United and Manchester City are the three clubs that are interested in signing Coman. It remains to be seen if the France international will join a new club when the transfer window reopens in January.
Liverpool were in the market for a new wide forward in the summer before they signed Chiesa from Juventus. Newcastle star Anthony Gordon was also heavily linked with a move to Anfield.
