It feels like every other day now, Liverpool are writing history and breaking records. Against Southampton midweek, it was the young kids who wrote their names into the history books. This time around against Nottingham Forest, there were other reasons to celebrate.
For much of the game, it seemed like Forest were going to have things their own way. They had frustrated Liverpool all the way to the very end, by dropping deep and defending for their lives. However, in the end it wasn’t enough.
Alexis Mac Allister conjured a sensational moment out of nowhere, and Darwin Nunez took his chance to score a very important winner in the 99th minute for Liverpool. A winner that will be vital for Jurgen Klopp’s side in the Premier League title race.
It’s also a winner that will go down in the history books.

Up until today, Liverpool’s haven’t had a lost of luck at the City Ground in the club’s Premier League history. In six previous attempts, Liverpool hadn’t managed a single win. Most of those results date back to the 1990s, however, the Reds’ struggled there last season as well.
Last season, Klopp’s side lost 1-0 with Taiwo Awoniyi, a former player scoring the winner. But this time around Klopp managed to write yet more history for Liverpool getting the Reds’ first ever win in the stadium in the Premier League.
