When Mo Salah struck late in Liverpool’s clash with Wolves in the final day of the 2021/22 season, the title race hung firmly in the balance.
Jurgen Klopp’s side entered that game one point behind Manchester City and need to better the Citizens’ result to secure a second Premier League win.
Both teams went behind on the day, with City overcoming a 2-0 deficit against Aston Villa thanks to goal from Rodri and an Ilkay Gundogan brace.
Liverpool kept up the chase however, and Salah bundled home from close range after 84 minutes to put the hosts in front after Sadio Mane had equalised in the first half.
