It was hard work but in the end Liverpool got there. Against all the odds, and all the adversity, Liverpool pulled through against Chelsea. In the end it was captain fantastic Virgil van Dijk scoring a late winner to win the game for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Undoubtedly, there were mass celebrations when a few minutes later, the referee blew his final whistle. The rest of the Liverpool team poured onto the pitch. There were strong embraces from Klopp’s players. Including the myriad of youngsters who absolutely produced a performance they can be extremely proud of for years to come.
There was also a surprise appearance who ran onto in Ryan Gravenberch. The Dutchman was forced off a stretcher in the first half after after a really worrying challenge from Moises Caicedo. But Gravenberch was back on the pitch to celebrate later.

As journalist James Benge posted, Gravenberch was on the pitch to join in with the celebrations. He was wearing a protective brace, which is customary precaution when any player picks up a knock, especially from an impact injury.
In one hand he also held crutches but it didn’t seem like he needed it much. It’s too early to tell whether that’s a good sign or not. But it’s really positive to see Gravenberch join in with the celebrations.
Liverpool need everyone fit and available as soon as they can given there are more important matches coming up. We will hope Gravenberch can be back on the pitch as soon as possible.
