Liverpool young talent Conor Bradley has made a big impact this season and he has been highly praised by Tony Cascarino.
The 20-year-old right-back has made 10 appearances for the Reds in all competitions and has delivered assured performances every time he took the pitch, earning rave reviews from pundits.
He has managed one goal and three assists in three Premier League starts this season, and many feel that the youngster could replace Trent Alexander-Arnold at some point in the future.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Cascarino says that Bradley has “got everything” – he is solid in defending and also very strong in attack. He has hailed him as an “amazing” player who has got an “incredible” energy.
Bradley returned to the starting line-up against Brentford after he was given a compassionate leave following the loss of his father. Jurgen Klopp was very pleased with his effort, saying he had an “exceptional” game.
“He’s got everything. He’s got amazing energy. He’s got attacking play. Defensively, he is sounder than Trent,” said Cascarino on talkSPORT.
“I have seen one or two absolute stars making debuts in my career. He gave me that belief straightaway. His tenacity, his ability on the ball, his defending, he’s got incredible energy.”
Conor Bradley is the next rising star for Liverpool
The emergence of Bradley can be massive for the club. While the youngster still needs to improve in several areas of his game, he has already shown that he belongs at this level.
Liverpool can forget about signing another right-back any time soon, for they have now two top-quality homegrown players.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is a world-class right-back, whose passing abilities are beyond belief. However, many feel that Trent can be best used in midfield. In that case, both Trent and Bradley can play together and it will only benefit the club in the long run.
Again, in the absence of Bradley, Trent can return to the right-back role. It will be interesting to see how Klopp manages both of them, especially when Trent returns after injury.
Cascarino has suggested that Trent could leave the club next summer, because of the emergence of Bradley, but that is a bizarre hypothetical assumption.
