Liverpool need a top winger to replace Mohamed Salah in the summer transfer window. Liverpool have been linked with a number of strikers, including Belgium international Bakayoko. The PSV Eindhoven forward caught the eye at Anfield last summer and there were reports in December that Merseyside were interested in him.

Reports recently emerged that Liverpool are planning to sign the 20-year-old star in the upcoming transfer window. According to Voetbalkrant, the Premier League leaders are interested in signing Bakayoko, who is valued at £34m and is attracting interest from Man City, PSG and Bayern Munich. So far this season, the young player has played in 33 matches for the Dutch giants and has been directly involved in 19 goals (6 goals, 13 assists).

The nine-time international is a key member of PSV, who have won 18 of their 20 league games this season and currently sit comfortably at the top of the Eredivisie table. Sporting director Ernie Stewart praised Bakayoko and said he is not expected to stay in Eindhoven this summer. He said:“It’s amazing what John can do for someone his age.

“He played 30 excellent games for PSV and the Red Devils in the last few months.”Salah, whose contract expires next year, is a key figure at Anfield, but sooner or later someone will have to replace the veteran.Do you think Liverpool should offer £34m to sign Johan Bakayoko in the next transfer window?
