Bild journalist Christian Falk reports that Liverpool are interested in Eintracht Frankfurt duo Willian Pazzo and Hugo Larsson.
In his Daily Briefing Substack column, Falk said the Reds were one of the teams that “pushed” the two players away. Arsenal are also tracking these two players, while Manchester United, Real Madrid and Napoli are keeping an eye on Pacho.
Larsson is a midfielder and Pacho is a center back. The two positions that Liverpool will strengthen in the summer transfer window are: Thiago and Matip will have to be replaced
Thiago Alcantara and Joel Matip are set to leave Anfield when their contracts expire at the end of the current season. With Jurgen Klopp announcing his departure, it seems unlikely the club will be able to retain the services of either player unless Klopp’s successor makes it clear he wants them to stay.
This means Liverpool’s recruitment department are keen to move them and Pacho and Larsson appear to be on their radar. Liverpool would have to pay a huge amount to bring these two players from Frankfurt.
According to Falk, Pacho’s asking price is €60m, seven times what Frankfurt paid Royal Antwerp for the defender last year. Larsson’s price is expected to be much higher and he is currently priced at €80m (£68m).
This means the Reds will have to pay £119m to secure his services. That’s a lot of money for two players with two relatively unproven talents, so we’ll probably have to wait until the end of the season to see more interest from clubs.
