Jurgen Klopp’s announcement that he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season has shocked the team, reports Diogo Yota. Liverpool have played just three games and Jurgen Klopp plans to leave Anfield this summer.

This puts even more pressure on the Reds to part ways with the 56-year-old. Despite losing 3-1 to Arsenal on Sunday, Klopp’s men remain top of the table and are in with a chance of winning the FA Cup and Europa League. The Carabao Cup final against Chelsea is set for later this month and Klopp looks set to end his Anfield career with another victory.

Commenting on the manager’s move, Diogo Yota told DAZN Portugal (via Sport Witness):”It’s true that everyone was shocked. I don’t think anyone in the dressing room expected this news, especially since the season is going so well. “But it’s not up to us to make decisions, it’s up to us. Who will be the coach next season will be a question later. “We still have a lot to fight for this season, so we have to focus on what we have to do on the pitch and embellish his legacy with trophies. “We want it the way he wanted it before he announced his decision, because obviously we always want to win.

“There is much speculation surrounding Liverpool’s next manager, with fans eager to know who will be responsible for replacing Klopp in the dugout.Former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso is a strong contender to replace Klopp at Anfield. The Spaniard currently coaches Bayer Leverkusen, who are ahead of Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.
