A new supercomputer predicts Liverpool will miss out on the Premier League title by a little gap this season. Manchester City, who are currently top of the league, could overtake them if they win just two games. Jurgen Klopp is set to leave Anfield at the end of the season and his team will be hoping to say goodbye to him.
However, their recent 3-1 defeat to Arsenal dashed their title hopes. It was only their second loss of the season, but the OCB Score supercomputer predicted they would lose twice more. This gave them 86 points from 26 wins and 8 draws.The reigning champions are expected to remain unbeaten for the rest of the season despite having the same winning record as City.
This leaves them 87 points clear of Liverpool, who won the title for the fourth consecutive year. Arsenal, who moved to just two points behind Liverpool with Sunday’s win, have been told by a supercomputer that their title quest will be cut short. They are expected to finish third, seven points behind champions City.
Aston Villa reached the Champions League final, finishing fifth, five points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur. Manchester United’s season is expected to finish in 6th place. Manchester United moved past West Ham into top spot after a comfortable win on Sunday and expect to stay there. David Moyes’ side face Newcastle, who have had a difficult season.
Chelsea will be delighted to end the 23/24 season after losing to Wolves on Sunday. However, he is expected to recover a bit and take 9th place. Burnley and Sheffield United are expected to be relegated. Sheffield United finish last and Crystal Palace complete.
Crystal Palace are considering sacking Roy Hodgson after their expected loss to 10th-placed Brighton. With Palace relegated, Brentford and Everton are expected to avoid relegation.
