Jamie Carragher has revealed what Jurgen Klopp did at half-time as Liverpool tried to wrap up their game against Arsenal on Sunday – and it shocked him.
Liverpool received a huge boost at the Emirates before the break. The Reds had a poor opening 45 minutes against Mikel Arteta’s side.
Despite this, they went into the break after poor play from David Raya and William Saliba led to Gabriel Magalhais own goal. But Jurgen Klopp has not given up on this goal. In the end, Liverpool seemed to be going in every direction at times.
And Arsenal were very easy at times. Jamie Carragher was impressed with what Jurgen Klopp did at half-time on Sunday. However, Klopp decided not to change his formation in the second half.
Jamie Carragher admits he doesn’t understand why the Liverpool manager isn’t making changes. “The team seems to be gone, there is no change. I have to say I am very impressed with this.
“Maybe the equalizer before half-time changed Jurgen Klopp’s plans because he was confident it would make the difference,” he said. A real off day for the Reds Liverpool started the second half very well. It looked like Klopp would be proven right as he got a few things right.
