Duke basketball guard Wendell Moore Jr. is set to suit up for the Orlando Magic in the NBA 2K26 Summer League in Las Vegas from July 10-20. Moore, a 23-year-old small forward, was drafted 26th overall in the 2022 NBA draft by the Dallas Mavericks. He’ll join a Magic team that has shown interest in Duke talent, having signed Tyus Jones, a 2015 Duke national champion, and featuring Wendell Carter Jr. and Paolo Banchero, Moore’s former teammate.
Moore’s NBA experience includes playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons, and Charlotte Hornets, with a stint on a two-way contract with the Hornets last season. He averaged 4.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game in his 90-game NBA career.
The Orlando Magic’s Summer League opener is scheduled for July 10 at 7:30 p.m. ET against the Sacramento Kings, with games broadcast on NBA TV. Moore’s participation in the Summer League could be a valuable opportunity to showcase his skills and potentially secure a more prominent role with the Magic or another NBA team
