The Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball team has welcomed two new additions to its roster for the 2025-26 season. Head coach Mark Pope announced the signings of Tulane guard Kam Williams and Arizona State forward Jayden Quaintance.
Kam Williams: Elite Shooter and Defender
Williams, a 6-foot-8 wing, brings a wealth of talent to the Wildcats. Pope praised Williams, saying, “Kam is a beautiful kid who is not only an elite-level shooter but also an elite 1-through-4 defender.” Williams averaged 9.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 1.1 steals per game in his freshman season at Tulane, earning a spot on the American Athletic Conference All-Freshman Team.
Jayden Quaintance: Explosive Forward with High Ceiling
Quaintance, a 6-foot-9 forward, is a 17-year-old phenom who played his freshman season at Arizona State. Pope described Quaintance as “as explosive as he is skilled, and he is just scratching the surface of what he’s going to become in this game.” Quaintance started all 24 games he played for the Sun Devils, averaging 9.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.6 blocks, and 1.5 assists while shooting 52.5 percent from the field.
