It’s been a sensational start to the season for Liverpool under Arne Slot, although the Reds still have some big issues to resolve as January draws near.
Sunday’s draw at Arsenal means Liverpool sits just a point behind Premier League leaders Manchester City – a position few would have expected before the start of the season. Goals from Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah secured what could prove to be an important point in the title race.
Both players, alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold, still need to sort out their futures though, with their contracts set to expire at the end of the season. Murillo (Nottingham Forest)
Liverpool is ‘seriously’ considering a move for Nottingham Forest defender Murillo, according to TEAMtalk. It’s claimed that the Reds have drawn up a shortlist of targets amid the uncertainty over Virgil van Dijk’s future, with the Brazilian set to be monitored closely for the remainder of the season.
Sporting CP star Goncalo Inacio and Sevilla’s Loic Bade are also said to be on Liverpool’s list. Murillo is also of interest to Chelsea, although the Blues may have other areas to sort out before looking at a new defender.
