Liverpool are reflecting on a job well done as they lean into the first international break of the season.
The Reds have won three games from three to start the Premier League campaign in the most impressive of fashions.
The beginning has been all the more remarkable given that Arne Slot has been having his very first taste of English football.
There has been no adaptation period needed for Slot and his coaching team. They have come straight in at Liverpool and hit the ground running.
Winning games is always a good way to ingratiate yourself to a new fanbase, and Slot is certainly already popular around Anfield. But according to former Reds centre-back Jamie Carragher, the Dutchman does just need to do one thing differently.

Jamie Carragher gives Arne Slot advice
Slot has come across very well indeed ever since taking the reigns at Liverpool in June.
It was never going to be easy following Jurgen Klopp. The German was one of the most popular figure’s in the club’s history.
However, despite constant mentions of Klopp from the press, Slot has arrived and been his own man from the very first day. That has gone down a treat.
What has also been well received is Slot’s style of play and the new, slightly tweaked tactical ideas he is delivering to the Liverpool squad.
The 45-year-old has not been shy in publicly detailing what it is he’s trying to do with Liverpool. But speaking on The Overlap, Carragher said that Slot may just need to reign in the tactical details he’s imparting to the public.
“It’s interesting listening to him and I spoke to him after his first game and he gives you something every time you speak to him from a tactical point of view, whereas Jurgen would give you something from an emotional point of view,” says the Liverpool legend.
“Do you think at some stage he’ll stop doing that?” posed Ian Wright. “I hope he does from a Liverpool point of view,” Carragher answered.
“I think it is a Dutch way of doing things that they’re quite on the front foot, they’re quite open, they give you an answer, which is great for us.
“It’s interesting listening to Slot how much information he’s going to give going forward,” he adds. “Because from a Liverpool point of view, I’m thinking, ooh, just put a lid on it a little bit.”
Change needed from Arne Slot?
In truth, we don’t mind hearing Slot talk about Liverpool’s tactics publicly. But it is a little bit of a cheek for Carragher to bring it up.
Obviously, it is not the former Reds player all himself, but since his arrival on Merseyside, the press have not stopped asking Slot about how his style differs from Klopp’s.
Perhaps the former Feyenoord boss has been speaking about it simply because he keeps being asked.
As Wright suggests, that could change once people become more familiar with the way Slot is setting Liverpool up to play.
In the meantime, though, there’s always a difference between knowing what a team is going to do and being able to stop it. If the Reds keep on winning games, then Arne can say whatever he wants!
