Paul Merson described the managerial role at Liverpool as ‘one of the biggest jobs in football’ and admitted he was ‘shocked’ by Xabi Alonso’s decision to stay at Bayer Leverkusen.
He may regret it later for taking such a recless decision not minding his future. It is good opportunity for him to take over a great club and continue where Jurgen Klopp stop but he rather turned it down and choose to remain at his current club.
It’s a very risky decision as Liverpool can’t continue to wait for him and the manager position to be vancant so this is the right time for him to come and enjoy prove he can do it anywhere
I hope he changed his decision as there’s still time or else he will regret it.
