Kentucky’s 2026-27 SEC schedule is beginning to take shape, and several high-profile matchups are already generating excitement across Big Blue Nation.
According to reports, the Wildcats will once again face Tennessee and Vanderbilt both home and away as their designated mirror opponents. Kentucky will travel to Knoxville and Nashville while hosting the Volunteers and Commodores at Rupp Arena.
One of the more intriguing developments is a home-and-home series with Ole Miss. Mark Pope and the Wildcats will make the trip to Oxford to face Chris Beard’s Rebels before welcoming Ole Miss to Lexington later in the season. The matchup adds another competitive challenge to Kentucky’s conference slate.
The biggest headline, however, is the return of John Calipari to Rupp Arena. Kentucky and Arkansas will meet just once during SEC play, with the game taking place in Lexington. Since Calipari’s departure to Arkansas, every meeting between the two programs has drawn national attention. Arkansas won the first matchup, while Kentucky answered with a victory in Fayetteville the following season, setting the stage for another highly anticipated showdown.

The Wildcats will face Kansas in the Champions Classic in Chicago on Nov. 10 before taking on Indiana at Lucas Oil Stadium on Nov. 20. Kentucky will also travel to Virginia for the ACC/SEC Challenge on Dec. 2.
Other notable games include Louisville visiting Rupp Arena on Dec. 12 and a matchup against North Carolina in the CBS Sports Classic at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 19.
With a challenging non-conference schedule and another chapter of the Kentucky-Arkansas rivalry set to unfold, the 2026-27 season is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated campaigns of the Mark Pope era. Big Blue Nation now has plenty of dates to circle on the calendar, and the return of Calipari to Lexington is certain to be at the top of the list.
