Trent Alexander-Arnold has opened up about a rather amusing secret involving Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah, revealing that the Egyptian has a video of him that he hopes will remain locked away forever.
The dynamic duo, who have forged an exceptional partnership both on and off the field since Salah’s arrival at Anfield from Roma in 2017, have celebrated every major title in club football together, including the coveted Premier League and Champions League trophies.
As the current campaign unfolds, the pair are eyeing more silverware, with Liverpool leading the charge at the top of the Premier League and the Champions League. They also remain in contention for both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, showcasing their pursuit of continued success.
However, as the season progresses, questions loom over their futures, with both players’ contracts set to expire at the season’s end. Ongoing discussions about new contracts persist not only for Alexander-Arnold and Salah but also for compatriot Virgil van Dijk, who could find himself leaving the club on a free transfer come summer.
When quizzed on whether he feels closer to Salah or fellow teammate Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexander-Arnold replied candidly to Stadium Astro: “I’d say Mo if I’m honest. The length of time we’ve known each other and the duration of our playing time together has fostered a bond and connection, especially during matches. We instinctively understand our playing styles.”
In his light-hearted revelation, Alexander-Arnold mentioned that he frequently receives invitations to Salah’s home for tea, although he shamelessly admits he never steps foot in the kitchen. The international confessed that during one of his visits, Salah recorded an embarrassing moment that he insists must never be shared.
