Liverpool have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Antonee Robinson ahead of the January transfer window. The club are eyeing a move for a new left-back and have been linked with the Fulham star and Milos Kerkez.
Whether the Reds sign a new defender in the New Year remains to be seen – but they have already received their answer from the player – who admitted he would be willing to leave Craven Cottage. Addressing the transfer interest, Robinson told Marca: “I’m very happy here.
“The fact that there is interest from other teams is great. Obviously, it all comes down to whether someone wants me enough to pay what Fulham would ask. So, if the club sees it as a good idea, I would leave.”
In addition to Liverpool, Robinson has reportedly been subject of interest from Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United. Fulham manager Marco Silva has refrained from talking too much about the outside noise.
“I don’t want to talk much about him, because I know that next January the same story will be repeated,” the Portuguese boss said. “Robinson is very focused and we must keep it that way for as long as possible.”
Silva also hailed the defender’s development, adding: “Even when I arrived at Fulham four seasons ago, the way he has improved off the ball has been exceptional. If you create the right areas for him, he is going to be decisive going forward.
