In a stunning revelation, Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane, has revealed that he was snubbed by Liverpool for a transfer deal in 2013. However, Kane went on to achieve incredible success with Tottenham, winning the Premier League Golden Boot award twice.
Kane, who has become one of the most prolific goal-scorers in the Premier League, said that he was disappointed but not deterred when Liverpool rejected him.
“I was only 19 at the time, and I was desperate to make a name for myself in the Premier League,” Kane said. “I had heard that Liverpool were interested in signing me, but unfortunately, it didn’t work out. They told me that I wasn’t the right fit for their team, and that was that.”
Despite the setback, Kane continued to work hard and eventually earned a chance to prove himself with Tottenham. He made his debut for the club in 2014 and quickly established himself as one of the top strikers in the Premier League.
“It’s funny to think about now, but getting snubbed by Liverpool was probably the best thing that ever happened to me,” Kane said. “It made me realize that I had to work even harder to achieve my goals, and it gave me the motivation I needed to succeed.”
Kane’s success with Tottenham has been nothing short of phenomenal. He has won the Premier League Golden Boot award twice, and has helped the club finish in the top four of the Premier League table on multiple occasions.
“I’m proud of what I’ve achieved with Tottenham, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to play for such a great club,” Kane said. “I’m not going to dwell on what might have been if Liverpool had signed me instead. I’m just going to keep working hard and enjoying my football.”
