The Toffees brought in seven new faces in the summer, but only Iliman Ndiaye has really had a huge impact on things so far this season for Everton.
Interestingly, Ndiaye has already been compared to Steven Pienaar from his time at Goodison with the way he wears his socks and his dribbling ability.
Jake O’Brien is a player that fans have been desperate to see on Merseyside, but Sean Dyche just hasn’t fancied him much so far.
He’s played just 26 minutes of football in the Premier League and likely won’t get a chance soon due to the rise in form of Michael Keane.
However, the Toffees are looking to strengthen already in January, as rumours begin to emerge.According to Kontra Spor (via Sport Witness), Everton are weighing up tabling a £16.5m offer for Besiktas forward Semih Kilicsoy.
It’s stated that The Toffees are looking to convince the Turkish club’s president, Hasan Arat, that sanctioning a move for the talent is the right decision for all parties.
The striker has zero goals in 11 appearances this season, which makes it strange that Everton are seeking a move for him given he’s showed nothing in terms of goals.
However, he is highly rated at just 19 years of age, so maybe there’s a look to the future. These Everton fans, when speaking on X, all have the same concern about Semih Kilicsoy.
“Cenk Tosun?… why take the risk.”, @merseysideblue said.@KHix wasn’t happy: “There’s no point buying forwards if we don’t get enough players up the pitch running off them and giving them support. It’s pointless.”
@rbrejsa stated: “Zero goals this season. He’ll fit in very well at Everton.”
@charlieefc78 mentioned: “I’ll put money on him being absolutely horrendous.”
“So a player from Turkey then?? Have we learned nothing at all???”, @pattoJPN1 also appeared to be worried about a Tosun repeat.
@Doug_Toffee commented: “I’m sure the u23s will help him fit in if it’s happens. I’d rather pay £30m for someone who will go straight in the first team though, and net 10-15.”
