Check out the announcing and officiating crews for Sunday’s contest between the 49ers and Patriots.

One might think soon-to-be Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady would be assigned to the announcing crew for Fox Sports in Week 4 when his boyhood team, the San Francisco 49ers, welcome the franchise he made famous, the New England Patriots.

    Well, no.

Brady, who is going through his first season on the broadcasting side, will actually be on the call for a game between the Philadelphia Eagles and another one of his former teams, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

However, it’s fair to wonder if Brady would have preferred heading out to the Bay Area for another visit and opportunity to witness two teams that mean a lot to him.

Instead, the Week 4 tilt between the Niners and Pats will feature another well-known Fox Sports crew covering the game.

Announcers for Week 4 between 49ers and Patriots
Joe Davis will handle play-by-play duties for the 4:05 p.m. kickoff, while Greg Olsen will do color commentary.

Pam Oliver will be on the sidelines.

Referees for Week 4 between 49ers and Patriots
Referee Scott Novak’s crew will handle the officiating duties for Sunday’s game.

Novak began as a field judge in 2014 and was promoted to referee in 2019, and his full crew includes:

    R: Scott Novak
    U: Mark Pellis
    DJ: Brian Sakowski
    LJ: Mark Stewart
    FJ: Terry Brown
    SJ: David Meslow
    BJ: Terrence Miles
    RO: Matt Sumstine
    RA: Tim England
