Everton now look to be in a very strong position to make a defensive reinforcement after sending a tempting offer.
The Toffees were left disappointed on Tuesday after learning that Jaden Philogene had rejected an offer to move to Goodison Park in favour of joining Ipswich Town.
Now – however – Everton look set to enjoy a better outcome in another transfer pursuit…
Everton convince Galatasaray to part ways with Davinson Sanchez
A story from Sporx in Turkey now claims that Galatasaray have found a replacement for Davinson Sanchez – after Everton made a tempting bid for the Colombia international.
The Turkish news outlet state that Galatasaray had no intention of selling the South American this summer, although Everton’s offer has led the Super Lig champions to identify Adamo Nagalo as the chosen replacement.
Sporx do not state how much Everton bid for Sanchez – only that Galatasaray are holding out for €25m (£21m).
However – according to a separate Turkish news outlet in Aslinda – Everton’s bid was worth €18m (£15m).
