Dele Alli steps up his comeback as ex-Tottenham star puts on finishing clinic in training with Everton set to give him final chance to prove worth
Dele Alli has stepped up his comeback as he was spotted doing finishing drills in training, with Everton reportedly set to give him a final chance.
Dele had been hampered by a long-term groin problem but the former Tottenham star has been taking significant steps in his effort to make a full comeback ahead of the 2024-25 campaign. He has been posting regular training updates on his Instagram profile, where the player is seen putting in the hard yards on the grass.
In a recent video, Dele was spotted practising shooting and finishing drills with elite athlete performance specialist Connor Peters. The England international was seen firing the ball into the bottom corner of the net with unerring accuracy as he continues to build up his fitness. He had also been training with Kyle Walker-Peters, Trevoh Chalobah, and Dominic Solanke to stay ahead of the curve.
The Liverpool Echo reports that Everton are committed to supporting Dele through his rehabilitation process. It has also been reported that Sean Dyche is ready to ‘take another look’ at Dele in pre-season, despite the fact he’s made just 13 appearances for the Merseyside club since signing from Tottenham in 2022.
