Liverpool have announced that academy talent Kieran Morrison has signed his first professional contract at Anfield.
The Reds confirmed the news on their website and social media channels, with Morrison himself also taking to social media in wake of the contract signing.
Morrison has been a key player in Marc Bridge-Wilkinson’s Liverpool Under-18 squad this season and has also featured for the Under-21s.
The 17-year-old began the season in central midfield, but was then switched to the right wing, going on to deliver plenty of great goal-scoring displays.
Morrison, a Northern Ireland youth international, has registered an impressive 13 goals – including several long-range rockets – and seven assists for Liverpool.
The teenager’s last Reds outing, against Sunderland last weekend, saw him wear the captain’s armband and score a brace.
Morrison, who hails from Manchester, joined Liverpool’s academy from Manchester United at Under-14 level.
