Matthew Judon has some perspective on his return from a season-ending bicep injury for the New England Patriots.
Judon’s priorities for the Patriots this season have been clear, from producing his teammates to envisioning the quarterback of the future. In our last opportunity to assess the 2024 season, Judon’s solution was simple.
“We’ve got to win games and score to get back into the fold,” Judon said of former Patriots quarterback Cam Newton on “4th and 1.” “Play better defense and keep people off the board. Everyone needs to improve. It’s not just one person.
“You can’t blame a person for letting them lose.”Even as the Patriots try to overcome three playoff misses in four seasons, Judon and his teammates aren’t putting pressure on themselves because of the team’s storied legacy.
“I don’t think New England will ever be the same,” Judon added. “There is no other Tom Brady. What he did with that team and with Bill (Belichick) is special.”I don’t think New England will ever be the same,” Judon added.
