The Boston Bruins return to action on Tuesday looking to extend their seven-game winning streak against the Tampa Bay Lightning at TD Garden. Group B are currently facing scheduling issues, with 12 of their 14 matches being home games, with this being their last game against one of their biggest rivals in recent seasons.
In honor of Brad Marchand’s 1,000th career game, Bruins coach Jim Montgomery is shaking things up and making some lineup changes. He skated with Charlie McAvoy and David Pastrnak and pushed Jake DeBrusk to the second line with Trent Frederick and Pavel Zacha.
Anthony Richard, who made his franchise debut Saturday, will jump to third and force Danton Heinen to four blocks. This would be a great opportunity for Richards to make some noise after Boston’s debut loss to the Washington Capitals. Oscar Steen replaces Jakub Lauko and Kevin Shattenkirk replaces Parker Utherspoon. In the goalkeeper rotation, it’s Linus Ullmark’s turn.
Jeremy Swayman started a few days ago. The Bruins and Lightning will tip the puck at 7 p.m. ET on NESN after an hour of pregame coverage. I designed the defense lines and combinations for both sides.
