What will Mike Vrabel do without the NFL coach in 2024?
Mike Vrabel may not have an official position in 2024, but he could still use his coaching experience. Wisconsin coach Luke Pickell told ESPN’s Pete Thamel on Thursday that he hopes Vrabel can help the program on an “unofficial” level next season. Vrabel, of course, was fired by the Tennessee Titans last month and has not been hired in the NFL’s head coaching hiring cycle. “I love Mike and I want to be around him as much as possible,” said Fickell, who is good friends with Vrabel and played and coached with him at Ohio State. “I want to know if he wants to be there, especially in the spring. And we will leave from there.”Fickell also talked about Vrabel in a podcast interview with ESPN Wisconsin last weekend.
Fickell also talked about Vrabel in a podcast interview with ESPN Wisconsin last weekend. Story continues below the ad”I talked to him on Saturday. I don’t think I talked to him for a week because of the lawsuit,” Fickell said, as Thamel reports on “Wild & Touch.” “He seemed like a new person. I don’t know if it was his choice or what the future holds.“But I know there will be visitors here.
I hope he spends some time around us. Starting, coming into the spring and things like that, see how much and how deep we can get involved with my friend and bring him here.Vrabel’s long-term future is likely still in the NFL. But in the short term, he could be a big addition to a college program.
