The Patriots are reportedly hiring an O-Line coach with MMA experience.
The Patriots hired a new offensive line coach on Wednesday, and I’m sure you won’t be surprised to hear that he’s familiar with the other recent additions. After all, this is the story of the week.Browns assistant coach Scott Peters has joined the New England coaching staff, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC2 in Houston.
Peters is a former fourth-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles and played offensive tackle for seven seasons with the Eagles, New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals. He has extensive experience in MMA, including winning the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Championships twice. Cho Kim, who served as the Patriots’ director of technical development from 2019 to 2023, also has a background in martial arts.
Peters met with offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt and quarterbacks coach T.J. McCartney spent four seasons with the Browns.
