Packers defensive tackle Kenny Clark clearly enjoyed his time working with former defensive line coach Jerry Montgomery. The Pro Bowler praised the veteran assistant when Montgomery left Green Bay for the New England Patriots.
The Patriots have yet to announce Montgomery’s hiring, but Montgomery confirmed his new position in response to Clark.Montgomery replied, “Thank you.” “Please keep working hard.
If we keep moving forward on this front, only good things will happen.”According to Greg Bedard of the Boston Sports Journal, Montgomery was interviewed by the Patriots on Saturday.
After spending the last nine seasons with the Packers, he transferred to Foxboro, Massachusetts. Montgomery has served as the defensive line coach since 2018 and took over the role of running game coordinator in 2022.
