Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love surprised a lot of people last season. He was one of the reasons Green Bay finished with a 9-8 record and advanced to the NFC Divisional round before losing 24-21 to the San Francisco 49ers.
Love finished last season with 4,159 yards passing, 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He also had 50 carries for 247 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 4.9 yards per carry. In the playoffs, he threw for 466 yards, completing 67.3% of his passes, five touchdowns and two interceptions. Love appears to be the long-term answer for the Green Bay Packers franchise.
Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers previously won MVP awards with the franchise. Could Jordan Love have done the same? ESPN’s Damien Woody thinks Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love will win the MVP next season. It’s not too early to tell who will win the NFL MVP award in the 2024 season.
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is expected to win his second NFL MVP award this season. However, Damien Woody had this to say about Love’s 2024 MVP potential:”If there’s anyone I want to bet on for the first MVP next year, it’s him.”This may seem like a bold approach, but it really isn’t. Love was one of the passing leaders last season and is getting his feet wet as a starting quarterback in the NFL.
He will have plenty of weapons to use. Christian Watson, Romeo Dubs, Jaden Reed and Dontayvion Weeks will be his receivers. Luke Musgrave and Tucker Craft are Love’s reliable ends in the passing game.
With players like Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen and Joe Burrow involved, Love might not be as high on the MVP list next season, but he can’t be ignored in this case. Woody’s prediction was not wrong. There was a lot of uncertainty last season when Aaron Rodgers left for the Lions. Not so this time.
