For the Green Bay Packers heading into the 2023 NFL season, there’s no bigger individual story on the field than Jordan Love’s elevation to Aaron Rodgers, whose NFC North franchise has a bleak future in the league. After two years in which the future Hall of Famer could not be considered, Love made the most of the opportunity to prove himself.
In 2023, he had more to prove himself, showing significant improvement in several areas that greatly helped the team’s offense. Two areas where Love has really improved are his pressure play and his accuracy on the court. From Week 11 through the end of the season, Love ranked sixth in completion percentage and second in yards per attempt with eight touchdowns.
Kenbats Cashes Tom Clustins provides credit for love and knows where to go to improve the ball. In order to do more than 20 meters at a time, love was the seventh place in the yard at the seventh speed. The improvement of Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love is highlighted by two statistics.Green Bay Packers, San Francisco 49ers, Jordan LoveJanuary 14, 2024; Arlington, Texas, USA; Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (10) runs off the field against the Dallas Cowboys after the 2024 NFC wild card game at AT&T Stadium.
Under pressure to deliver not only for the Packers but for his career, what Love has done under center in 2023 is remarkable. He finished the season with 4,159 passing yards and 32 touchdowns against 11 interceptions while completing 64.2% of his passes. What’s even more impressive is that two of his top three receivers were rookies in Jaden Reed and Dontayvion Weeks, neither of whom were drafted in the first round. Needless to say, the Packers have a solid draft that will try to finish the team past the divisional round in 2024, the last time they made the NFL Playoffs.
