There’s been a surprising quandary around the NFL about why teams aren’t too eager to sign Bill Belichick, but the problems surrounding the former Patriots coach date back to when Tom Brady left New England.Belichick has been trying to pursue Brady since the 2014 season.

The former Patriots coach met with Brady to iron out issues for the 2021 season, but his shortcomings without Brady also leave Stephen A. Smith with a story to tell.
