The Nigeria Premier Football League match between Shooting Stars and Rivers United on matchday 15 has been rescheduled.
On Thursday, the game was supposed to take place at Lekan Salami Stadium.
A letter from the NPFL stated that Rivers United’s CAF Confederation Cup match in Tunisia was the reason for the postponement.
Davidson Owumi, Chief Operating Officer of NPFL, stated that a revised date will be revealed at a later time.
On Wednesday, Rivers United and Club Africain will play in the CAF Confederation Cup matchday four at the Stade de Rades in Tunis.
In the meantime, Shooting Stars will step up their preparations for their matchup with the Rangers, their enduring rivals, on matchday 16 at Awka City Stadium the following week.
For the past five games, Shooting Stars have failed to win.
