Leon Balogun considers it an honor to win another trophy with Rangers, the dominant team in the Scottish Premiership.
Balogun was in full flow on Sunday at Hampden Park as Rangers won their 28th Scottish League Cup, defeating Aberdeen 1-0.
It was the center back’s third trophy in his Gers career.
During his debut season at the Ibrox Stadium, the Nigerian won both the FA Cup and the Scottish Premiership.
Balogun claimed that he enjoyed every second of holding the trophy in his hands.
He said to Rangers TV, “It is the most special time in my career that I had when I left the first time, and that will never change.”
“Being here at this point in my career and taking home awards seems like a pleasure for me.
“I have performed in a few large stadiums, and the fans are always amazing.
The fans’ response is fantastic to see. I’m overjoyed and satisfied.
On Wednesday, Rangers will host St Johnstone in a league match, and Balogun will be hoping to play again.
