Vinicius Junior, a fast-rising Brazilian football superstar, has signed a new contract with Real Madrid that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2027.
Vinicius Junior signed the new contract on October 31, just hours after winning the Socrates Award at the 2023 Ballon d’Or, which Argentina’s Lionel Messi won.
Aside from earning the Socrates Award, the 23-year-old Brazilian winger finished the Ballon d’Or as the world’s sixth greatest player.
Vinicius joined Real Madrid from Brazilian club Flamengo when he was 18 years old in 2018. The Spanish giants paid a £38 million transfer fee for his talents.
The Brazilian international, 23, has scored 64 goals in 248 games for Real Madrid and won nine titles, including the 2022 Champions League.
Vinicius has also assisted Madrid in winning two Spanish Super Cups, two Club World Cups, the Copa Del Rey, and the European Super Cup.
Vinicius Junior has formed a foundation that distributes financing and constructs schools in disadvantaged parts of Brazil, an act of generosity that earned him the Socrates Award at the 2023 Ballon d’Or.
