The 2025 NFL Draft will be held Thursday, April 24 through Saturday April 26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Miami Dolphins fans overwhelmingly say they want a guard with the 13th pick. The Dolphins are open to drafting a quarterback in April, but they don’t figure to have a shot at Cam Ward of Miami and Shadeur Sanders of Colorado. The Miami Dolphins hold 10 picks in the draft, including 13th overall (first round), 48th overall (second round) and a projected compensatory pick at the end of the third round. Dolphins general manager Chris Grier knows he must support coach…
I am tired of hearing that the Miami Dolphins need to win a playoff game to be considered successful. That kind of talk and energy are keeping us stagnant. We need to set our sights on fighting for the AFC title, like the Chiefs, Bills, Ravens, and even the Bengals have done over the past five years. We have too much invested in this team to just hope for a playoff win. On top of that, I’m tired of being a team that excites us only to let us down in the end. It’s been that way for over 30…
Weeks after the Miami Dolphins were announced as the host team for the first-ever regular season game in Spain next season, the NFL announced this week that the Los Angeles Rams would do the same for the first-ever game in Melbourne, Australia, in 2026. So, naturally, the first instinct is to look at the list of Rams opponents for that 2026 season, and it currently does not include the Dolphins — though it could, and for a game where the Rams would be the home team. Based on the NFL’s scheduling formula, the NFC teams will get the ninth home…
If there’s one thing we learned about Detroit Lions linebacker Alex Anzalone this season, it’s that the defense just flat-out works better with him on the field. He’s a key piece of this team and is likely to continue to be a key piece of this team in 2025, but because he’s so important, the Lions should feel the need to take care of him this offseason and he’s more than likely hoping that they will. Anzalone is under contract for the 2025 season, but he has no guarantees left on his contract and he’s kind of just hanging out…
ALLEN PARK — The Detroit Lions are adding another former player to their staff, with ESPN reporting they are hiring longtime NFL backup quarterback Bruce Gradkowski as an offensive assistant. Gradkowski spent a decade-plus bouncing around the league with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, St. Louis Rams, Cleveland Browns, Oakland Raiders, Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has not coached at the NFL level but got his feet wet at the high school level before spending a year at his alma mater of Toledo as an offensive analyst in 2022. Gradkowski has most recently served as the offensive coordinator for…
The Detroit Lions, coming off a 15-2 campaign and divisional-round playoff loss, have a busy offseason of themselves. In order to take the next step as an organization, they must address multiple areas of need, including at EDGE. Detroit struggled all of 2024 to get after the quarterback on a consistent basis. Outside of Aidan Hutchinson with his 7.5 sacks, no Lions defender recorded five sacks. Trade deadline acquisition Za’Darius Smith came the closest to the five-sack plateau, with four sacks in eight games as a member of the Lions. Smith proved to be a decent addition made by Detroit…
Questions about the future at quarterback for the Detroit Lions arose after the team was bounced from the playoffs early at the hands of the Washington Commanders. While the Lions were able to post 31 points on the Commanders, quarterback Jared Goff struggled mightily in the losing effort, throwing three picks and losing a fumble. This was just the latest example of Goff struggling in the playoffs, something that was prominent during his days with the Los Angeles Rams. Despite that, the Lions aren’t going to be moving off Goff anytime soon, as he’s still under contract through 2028. However,…
Amon-Ra St. Brown, the Detroit Lions’ wide receiver, has a pretty interesting connection with their new passing game coordinator, David Shaw. It turns out that Shaw actually recruited St. Brown and his brother Equanimeous out of high school to play for Stanford. Although St. Brown ended up choosing USC, his brother Osiris did play for Stanford under Shaw from 2018 to 2020. St. Brown has spoken highly of Shaw, describing him as “a great guy, honest”. He’s also mentioned that he attended camps at Stanford and got to know Shaw on a personal level, which is pretty cool. With Shaw…
Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett has set the NFL world abuzz with his recent trade request. As he made the rounds on Radio Row at the Super Bowl, Garrett largely avoided discussing his trade request, but did drop a tantalizing hint when asked about playing for the Detroit Lions. When asked by Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press if he had any thoughts on playing for the Lions, Garrett politely replied, “Not yet.” While it’s unclear what this response means, it’s clear that Garrett is leaving the door open for a potential move to Detroit. Garrett’s trade request…
The Detroit Lions are making waves in the NFL offseason, and their latest potential target is a big one. Pro Football Focus’ Mason Cameron has named the Lions as a top landing spot for San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw, who is set to become a free agent. Greenlaw, a two-time Super Bowl participant, has been a productive player for the 49ers, racking up 92 tackles as a rookie and earning a two-year contract worth $16.4 million. Despite a torn Achilles in the Super Bowl, Greenlaw could be a solid addition to the Lions’ linebacker corps, which struggled with injuries…
