Kentucky continues to make its presence felt on the recruiting trail, and the Wildcats are gaining momentum with one of the most intriguing big men in the 2027 class.
According to On3’s Joe Tipton, Kentucky is among the programs currently carrying momentum for four-star center Cherif Millogo, along with BYU, Texas, and Creighton.
Millogo is listed at 7-foot-4 and 210 pounds and plays for St. Francis in La Cañada Flintridge, California. The massive center is ranked No. 36 nationally, No. 5 among centers, and No. 2 overall in California by the 247Sports Composite.
Kentucky extended an offer to Millogo on May 22, giving Mark Pope and his staff an early opportunity to build a relationship with one of the class’s highest-ranked interior prospects.
While Kentucky is part of the current group generating momentum, the Wildcats are far from the only major program pursuing Millogo. Arizona, USC, Alabama, Georgia, Nebraska and several other schools have also offered the highly regarded big man.
The interest in Millogo also comes as Kentucky continues to search for additional frontcourt talent for its 2027 recruiting class.
The Wildcats already have one commitment in the class from five-star small forward Ryan Hampton, but Pope and his staff are clearly keeping multiple options open as they continue to build the roster.
Kentucky recently hosted five-star center Lewis Uvwo, a 6-foot-11, 225-pound prospect ranked among the nation’s top 10 players. The Wildcats are also scheduled to host five-star center Paul Osaruyi, who stands 6-foot-10 and 225 pounds and is regarded as one of the top big men in the class.
That gives Kentucky several intriguing options in the frontcourt recruiting picture.
For now, Millogo is one of the names worth watching. With his extraordinary size and national ranking, his recruitment could become an important storyline as the 2027 cycle develops.
Kentucky’s early momentum does not guarantee a commitment, but the Wildcats have positioned themselves among the programs to watch as Millogo’s recruitment continues to take shape.
