Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats continue to stay aggressive on the recruiting trail, and the latest name turning heads is towering 2027 center Cherif Millogo.
The four-star big man announced on social media that he has officially received a scholarship offer from Kentucky. Standing at an eye-catching 7-foot-3 and weighing around 220 pounds, Millogo instantly becomes one of the most intriguing frontcourt prospects connected to the Wildcats in the 2027 recruiting cycle.
Millogo currently plays for Compton Magic 17U on the adidas 3SSB circuit and is now the third player from that program to land a Kentucky offer, joining fellow big men Darius Wabbington and Yann Kamagate.
Kentucky is far from the only major program showing interest. Schools such as Arizona, BYU, USC, Washington, Alabama, Georgia, Syracuse, Nebraska, and TCU have all extended offers as his stock continues to rise nationally.
According to the Rivals Industry Ranking, Millogo is rated as the No. 32 overall player in the 2027 class and the fifth-best center in the country.
Originally from Burkina Faso in West Africa, Millogo previously attended high school in Massachusetts before relocating to California. His development has impressed scouts despite adversity early in his career. He missed the 2024-25 season after suffering a torn ACL but bounced back in a major way during the 2025-26 campaign, including a near 30-point triple-double performance that helped put him firmly on the national radar.
Recruiting analysts first began seriously tracking Millogo after a standout showing at the NEPSAC Showcase last summer, where his combination of size, mobility, and defensive potential drew attention from high-major programs across the country.
Kentucky’s pursuit of Millogo also highlights just how aggressive Mark Pope has become in the 2027 cycle. After missing on several priority targets in the previous class, the Wildcats are casting an extremely wide net this time around. Kentucky has now offered every player ranked inside the top 12 nationally for 2027 and 15 of the top 20 prospects overall.
The Wildcats continue building relationships with elite talent early, and Millogo is the latest high-upside prospect to hear from Lexington. With his rare size and rapidly growing national profile, this recruitment could become one Kentucky fans monitor very closely moving forward.
