Kentucky Basketball is continuing to evaluate options for its 2026–27 roster, with the coaching staff actively monitoring international and transfer market talent as it looks to strengthen its frontcourt. One of the latest names linked to the Wildcats is promising big man Ousmane N’Diaye.
According to Jacob Polacheck of KSR, Kentucky is showing interest in the 6-foot-11, 210-pound Senegalese forward. N’Diaye is currently awaiting NCAA clearance, which would determine whether he becomes eligible to compete at the college level. If approved, he would immediately become a notable addition to any program in need of size and versatility inside.
N’Diaye, 22, hails from Guédiawaye, Senegal, and has been on the international basketball radar for years. He first gained attention through the Basketball Without Borders (BWB) camp in 2016, an event known for showcasing top global prospects and connecting them with NBA and collegiate scouts.
Most recently, he played the 2025–26 season in Italy with Vanoli Cremona in the LBA. In professional competition, he averaged 10.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, 0.9 steals, and 0.5 blocks in 27.3 minutes per game while shooting 42.1% from the field.
One of the more intriguing aspects of his game is his offensive development. N’Diaye has been working to extend his range, attempting five three-pointers per game last season and hitting 32.1% from beyond the arc, a promising sign for a modern stretch big.
He has also spent time on NBA Draft boards, entering the process in 2023 before withdrawing and later declaring again in 2025, though he ultimately went undrafted. Still, his combination of size, mobility, and skill progression has kept him in the conversation as a developmental prospect with upside.
For Kentucky, the interest fits a clear need. The Wildcats are still shaping their roster and are looking for impact players in the frontcourt. A player like N’Diaye would bring length, shooting potential, and international experience to a team rebuilding its interior depth.
With NCAA eligibility still pending, his recruitment remains uncertain—but his name is now firmly one to watch in Kentucky’s ongoing roster search.
