Collin Chandler, the Kentucky Wildcats guard, was brought to tears as he opened up about his wife Hannah Clark in a quiet moment that went viral with fans.
He and Hannah got married in May 2025, but their story started way back in elementary school. They were next to each other in the yearbook, and Collin drew a very squiggly heart around Hannah and underlined her name. He said he knew he wanted to marry Hannah even back then, and joked that she said yes before he could even ask her.
They got engaged in December 2024 when Kentucky was in New York City to play Ohio State. He proposed to her in Central Park with the city skyline behind them. The wedding happened in May 2025 in a ceremony overlooking a mountain range.
Hannah was on the University of Utah Athletics Spirit squad during 2023-24 and graduated from Farmington High School in Utah in 2022. Now the two are often at the Joe Craft Center together, with Hannah throwing Collin alley-oops as he preps for the 2025-26 season. Coach Mark Pope said Chandler has made an incredible jump this summer, especially with his ball handling and defense.
The emotional part that left viewers stunned was Chandler sharing that childhood yearbook story and how it came full circle into marriage. For Kentucky fans, it showed another side of him beyond basketball.
