Jaxson Robinson’s basketball journey just took a major turn — and it’s one few saw coming.
After going unselected in the 2025 NBA Draft, the former Kentucky Wildcats wing has officially landed a deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers, signing an Exhibit 10 contract, according to Jon Chepkevich of DraftExpress.com.
A product of Ada, Oklahoma, Robinson has been one of college basketball’s most well-traveled players. Over five seasons, he suited up for Texas A&M, Arkansas, BYU, and finally Kentucky — proving his versatility and resilience every step of the way.
His breakout year came in 2023-24 at BYU, where he averaged 14.2 points per game and earned Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year honors. That performance helped springboard him to Kentucky, where he started 24 games and posted 13 points per game before an injury ended his season early.
Despite the setback, NBA scouts took notice of his scoring ability, size, and shooting efficiency (43.2% from the field).
Now, Robinson will have the opportunity to prove himself in Cleveland’s training camp. The Exhibit 10 deal gives him a shot at a two-way contract or a place in the Cavs’ G League system — and if he performs, a full NBA contract isn’t out of the question.
From the transfer portal to the pros, Robinson’s grind is paying off. Don’t be surprised if he turns heads again — this time on the NBA stage.
