Summer practice is officially underway in Lexington, and there’s already some serious buzz coming out of Kentucky Basketball’s early sessions under head coach Mark Pope.
While fans haven’t gotten video footage just yet, we do have some eye-opening new photos — and one in particular is making waves across the Big Blue Nation.
Freshman phenom Jayden Quaintance was spotted in full practice uniform, a huge development considering he’s still working his way back from an ACL injury. Though he wasn’t pictured in action, just seeing him dressed out and present is an exciting update on his recovery.
That one image has fans talking. It signals that Quaintance is right on track — and potentially ahead of schedule — with over five months still to go before tipoff.
Mark Pope’s second season is shaping up to be a big one, and with returning pieces and high-profile newcomers like Quaintance, expectations are already high in Lexington.
