In a heartwarming display of kindness, NBA superstar Luka Doncic has come to the rescue of a devastated Slovenian fan who was left heartbroken after a disastrous trip to see the Los Angeles Lakers play.
The fan, identified as 22-year-old Jani, had spent a whopping €1000 on tickets and travel to watch his beloved Lakers take on the Dallas Mavericks at the (link unavailable) Arena. However, his dream trip quickly turned into a nightmare when he discovered that his tickets were fake.
Jani was left crestfallen, having spent all his savings on the trip. But his luck was about to change. After hearing about Jani’s misfortune, Luka Doncic, who is also Slovenian, stepped in to save the day.
Doncic, who has been an inspiration to many young Slovenian basketball fans, invited Jani to attend a Mavericks game at the American Airlines Center, where he would get to meet his idol and watch him play live.
