Miami Dolphins general manager Chris Grier knows he must nail the next NFL Draft if he wants coach Mike McDaniel’s team to reach its potential.
“We’ve got 10 draft picks right now, with the compensatory things, and so very excited about the influx of young talent,” Grier said recently.
Grier and McDaniel and coaches and scouts will hit the ground running in Indianapolis starting Monday.
Miami Dolphins’ 2025 NFL Draft needs
The Dolphins need players at guard, safety, cornerback, linebacker, defensive tackle and quarterback.
They will also consider players at running back, tight end, center and edge.
Miami finished 8-9 and missed the playoffs and is poised to lose key players like safety Jevon Holland, in free agency. The year before they lost Christian Wilkins, Robert Hunt and Andrew Van Ginkel.
In the first three mock drafts of 2025 from our Joe Schad, these players were selected: Texas offensive lineman Kelvin Banks, Penn State tight end Tyler Warren and Alabama guard Tyler Booker.
Here are 8 NFL draft prospects the Miami Dolphins should consider interviewing at the scouting combine:
– *Jaxson Dart*, QB, Ole Miss: Ranked #41 by NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah, Dart’s impressive skills and experience make him a valuable prospect.
– *Tyler Booker*, IOL, Alabama: As the #14 prospect, Booker’s strength and agility would be a great addition to the Dolphins’ offensive line.
– *Shedeur Sanders*, QB, Colorado: Ranked #11, Sanders’ exceptional leadership and passing abilities make him a top prospect.
– *Cam Ward*, QB, Miami: As the #10 prospect, Ward’s impressive college performance and local ties make him an attractive option.
– *Will Campbell*, T, LSU: Ranked #8, Campbell’s size and strength would be a great asset to the Dolphins’ offense.
– *Abdul Carter*, Edge, Penn State: As the #1 prospect, Carter’s impressive speed and agility make him a top pick.
– *Jalon Walker*, Edge, Georgia: Ranked #6, Walker’s exceptional pass-rushing skills would be a valuable addition to the Dolphins’ defense.
– *Malaki Starks*, S, Georgia: As the #20 prospect, Starks’ impressive coverage skills and athleticism make him a top prospect.
