Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was unimpressed with Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show, calling it “whack.” St. Brown gave Lamar a score of 6 out of 10, praising only a few moments, including SZA’s appearance and the ending.
St. Brown, who co-hosts a podcast with his brothers, shared his thoughts on the performance. “From the game to the halftime performance, I thought it was whack,” he said. “Out of 10, I give him a 6… That ‘Not Like Us,’ I like the way he brought that in, like, ‘Oh you can’t do it, I’m going to get sued,’ they came back to it, that was dope. SZA coming out, was one of the hardest parts, like, she killed it.”
St. Brown also expressed his desire to play against the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL 2025 season opener. The Lions have a strong defense, and St. Brown believes they could put up an exciting matchup against the reigning Super Bowl champions.
