Kentucky men’s basketball coach Mark Pope provided an update on Jaxson Robinson’s injury status during his weekly press conference Thursday.
Robinson suffered a right wrist injury during practice last Friday, and X-ray imaging came back clean. However, he was ruled out for Tuesday’s game against Tennessee.
Pope said Robinson got a third medical opinion on Wednesday, and the team is trying different treatments. “We’re kind of taking in information, trying to figure out the course of action, decisions to be made,” Pope said.
Regarding Lamont Butler’s left shoulder injury, Pope said it “was not great” when assessed on Wednesday. “We’re still kind of going day by day. We’re trying some different treatments,” Pope said.
Pope described the injury situations facing both Butler and Robinson as “pretty complicated situations” and acknowledged that the updates were vague. “I think we could, potentially, find some clarity on both those guys in the next couple of weeks. We’ll see,” Pope added.
