The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to address their running back position in the upcoming NFL draft, with Najee Harris likely departing in free agency. According to latest mock draft, the Steelers will select Ohio State running back Quinshon Judkins with the 21st overall pick.
Judkins, a 6-foot, 219-pound running back, had a standout collegiate career, earning SEC Freshman of the Year and First-Team All-SEC honors in 2022. He also earned Third-Team All-Big Ten honors in 2024 after transferring to Ohio State.
The Steelers’ current running back corps includes Jaylen Warren, who finished with 511 yards and a touchdown in 2024. However, with Harris’ potential departure, the team is expected to add depth to the position.
Judkins is praised for his open-field burst, ability to read blocks, and willingness to run through contact. He is also a threat as a receiver out of the backfield, with 59 receptions for 442 yards and five touchdowns in his collegiate career.
The NFL combine, scheduled for February 27-March 2, will provide Judkins with an opportunity to showcase his skills before the 2025 NFL Draft, which takes place from April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
