The Green Bay Packers have been linked to a potential blockbuster trade for Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, and one insider believes the team can make it happen. According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, a package of one first-rounder, one second-rounder (or two third-rounders), and a key player could be enough to land Garrett.
Packers insider Matt Schneidman thinks the trade is “doable,” especially if general manager Brian Gutekunst wants to back up his statement about expecting to compete for a Super Bowl in 2025. Schneidman notes that the Packers’ pass rush was inconsistent last season, which led to the firing of their defensive line coach.
While some fans are excited about the possibility of Garrett joining the Packers, others are skeptical about the trade. Some have expressed concerns about the massive cap hit Garrett would bring, as well as the team’s other needs.
Despite the mixed reactions, one thing is clear: the Packers are in win-now mode, and adding a talent like Garrett could be a game-changer. Will they make the move? Only time will tell.
