A Pittsburgh Steelers insider has revealed alarming details about Russell Wilson’s practice performances late in the season. According to ESPN’s Brooke Pryor, Wilson’s play in practices before the playoff game was “not good,” with mistakes and interceptions galore.
Pryor stated on the Shek Show podcast, “I felt like Russ kind of went over a cliff at some point in the season in that five-game losing streak. And no matter how much positivity he’s preaching, the actions didn’t back up the words. It just snowballed.”
These revelations cast doubt on Wilson’s future with the Steelers, especially considering his age (36) and the team’s desire to extend him. Instead, it seems the Steelers may be leaning towards Justin Fields as their starting quarterback for the 2025 season.
