The Detroit Lions are facing a significant overhaul of their coaching staff, but star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown remains confident in the team’s future. Despite the departure of several key coaches, including coordinators Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn, St. Brown believes the team will “be all right.”
“We’ll be all right, though,” St. Brown said in an interview with NBC Sports. “Players make plays, right?”
St. Brown’s optimism is rooted in his own impressive performance last season. He caught 115 passes for 1,263 yards and 12 touchdowns, placing him among the top receivers in the NFL.
The Lions’ coaching exodus has seen several assistants leave for new opportunities. Wide receivers coach Antwaan Randle El joined Ben Johnson’s staff in Chicago, where he will serve as assistant head coach and wide receivers coach. St. Brown expressed his happiness for Randle El, saying, “I’m happy for him… it’s a step up, and it’s Chicago.”
Despite the changes, St. Brown remains focused on his own game. He will enter his fifth NFL season in 2025, looking to build on his already impressive resume. With his talent and confidence, St. Brown is poised to lead the Lions into a new era.
